LISTEN
Uncuffed empowers people in prison to tell their own stories. In our training programs, men and women in California prisons reveal stories of humanity behind the walls.

WHAT WE DO

Training
Uncuffed offers education and rehabilitation through audio storytelling workshops in California Institution for Women, San Quentin, and Solano prisons. Participants develop job skills and create award-winning work heard internationally and in over 1000 prisons and jails.
Alumni of Uncuffed have gone on to become professional podcasters, documentary filmmakers, and organizers, applying their storytelling skills to advocate for change.

Uncuffed Podcast and Stories
Uncuffed, the only voices you hear are people directly impacted by the prison system. They are the hosts, interviewers, and subjects of the stories.
Our award-winning storytelling has been featured on NPR, in The New York Times, The Guardian, and many other outlets.
Uncuffed is vulnerable and personal. It's about the humanity in all of us.
